Loving His Church – Therefore we are;
Committed to community: believing in the church as an authentic, inclusive, and healing family. (Heb 10:24-25)
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Transformational: encouraging the development and growth of all believers to become more like Jesus.(2 Cor 3:18)
18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Self-sacrificial: generously giving ourselves away in every aspect of our lives for the sake of others.(Phil 2:3-4)
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Gifted to serve: empowering every believer in their God-given gifts for the benefit of the whole body.(1 Peter 4:10)
